Stop dreaming and start planning for your spring vacation. These books will give you ideas on places to visit or inspire you to plan that trip you’ve always want to take to an exotic location. All of the books are available at the Hales Corners Library.

Read about places sacred ruins, grand hotels, wildlife preserves, hilltop villages, snack shacks, castles, festivals, reefs, restaurants, cathedrals, hidden islands, opera houses, museums, and more. Each entry tells exactly why it’s essential to visit then gives addresses, websites, phone and fax numbers, and best times to visit.

"How to travel practically anywhere" by Susan Stellin (Call number 910.202 S824). An essential guide for today’s traveler providing timesaving tips on how to navigate, book, and troubleshoot your travel planning, on and off the Web.

"Frequent traveler’s guide" by Alexander Anolik & John K. Hawks (Call number 910.202 A615). This book will provide you with a wealth of invaluable information designed to help travelers avoid mishaps and get out of trouble.

"The Rough Guide to travel online" by Samantha Cook and Greg Ward (Call number 910.202 C771). The Rough Guide shows you how to make the Web work for you as you plan your next trip – anywhere in the world.

"Hotel secrets from the Travel Detective" by Peter Greenberg (Call number 910.202 G798). From America’s best-known and most trusted travel authority, get the insider knowledge that can make every hotel stay as comfortable as home.

The library is open 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Patrons can look up books from home at http://countycat.mcfls.org/.

This book has some of the best ideas for holiday crafts all year round, not just Christmas. The crafts range from very simple and elegant to more advanced and elaborate. Anyone looking for a quick, but meaningful gift, need look no further.
